The Fiemme valley, where the River Avisio runs through, is situated in the western part of the Trentino Alto Adige region. The valley adjoins the Fassa valley and is parallel to the Gardena and Pusteria valleys. The Fiemme valley is famous for its handcraft traditions and for the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme. The main town are Tesero, Cavalese and Predazzo.

Tesero (2,5 km away from the hotel reached by footpaths and beautiful walks in the woods or along the Rio Stava) is a very ancient town with around 3000 inhabitants, rich in artisan woodworking and touristic activities. It has a very active cultural life due to the popoulation`s abilities and knowledge of music, dance and theatre. You can wonder around the ancient and traditional "Corte", (courtyards connected by covered walkways between one house and another) and also admire the ancient Bifore (mullioned windows) and Meridiane (sundials).

During winter these areas are set up with antique family nativity scenes that are exhibited in and out the GIRO dei PRESEPI (a tour of handcrafted nativity scenes). During summer the same courtyards are decorated following local traditions and the men and women of the town show how the traditional trades and crafts were carried out. In addition, every tuesday night in July and August, the town becomes an artisan`s market under the stars with lots of workshops, music and shows, offering great entertainment for both visitors and locals.

The town of Tesero also has a cross-country skiing stadium, the Fondo di Lago di Tesero, which hosts many internationl competitions, a cycle path and the famous Ski Centre Latemar Pampeago. Cavalese town centre (6 Km away from the hotel) houses the administrative centre of the valley and has a lot of recreational activities.

The Magnifica Comunità`s building, the Contemporary Art Centre, the Ancient Venician Sawmill, the Pieve park with the Assunta Church, the indoor ice rink, the recently renovated swimming-pool, the Congress Centre, as well as many shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

From Cavalese there is also a cable car that can take you up to the Alpe Cermis ski resort which is also open at night. During summer this mountain area has many routes for walking and cycling.

Another interesting and tasty activity is the tour of the Agritourisms where you can visit the highest farmhouse at 2000 mt.  Predazzo (10 kms from the hotel) is the town that joins the Fiemme valley and the  Fassa valley, between the Feudo and Rolle passes. It is completely flat by the side of the cycle path which runs through the two valleys.

Predazzo is a very pleasant touristic town, with many shops, restaurants and agritourisms. It is also famous for its Guardia Alpina di Finanza (Alpine Finance Rangers) and for its Mineralogical Museum.

The Saints Filippo and Giacomo Church is a great example of gothic art dating back to 1200. It is worth visiting the equestrian centre which is open all year round and for almost 30 years, in July, it has hosted an important international equestrian horse show.
